Matt Bunting

CFO/Treasurer, Athens City SD

Matt Bunting has been the Treasurer/CFO of Athens City Schools since 1998. He served as Treasurer of Vinton County Local Schools prior to that and worked from 1986 to 1997 with the Auditor of State’s Office, His work with the Auditor of State included work on the Youngstown City Schools Performance Audit. Matt is a partner in Public Finance Resources and has assisted with Five-Year Forecast training for more than 12 years. He has been the OASBO Chair of the Legislative Committee for more than 8 years and has served on the OASBO Board of Directors. Matt is a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM).

Eric Eggan

Analytics Advisor for Forecast5 Analytics

Prior to joining Forecast5, Eric worked as an administrator for the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business; specifically, serving the Executive Education cohorts in the Master of Finance and Master of Business Analytics programs. In that role, he worked to ensure that the program ran smoothly from an operational perspective, managed the students’ academic advising and counseling, and supported the design of the policy and guidelines for the overall program. Eric holds his Master of Education from DePaul University, and his Bachelor of Science in History and Political Science from Iowa State University.

Ryan Ghizzoni

Director of Ohio Analytics, Frontline Education; OASBO Past President

Ryan Ghizzoni, Director of Ohio Analytics, began his career in finance at the Auditor of State’s Office, and served over 15 years as a school district treasurer before switching to the private sector to provide solutions and support on a larger scale. During his CFO career, he has been the recipient of several ‘Association of School Business Officials’ International Meritorious Budget Awards and was the recipient of the ‘Ohio Association of School Business Officials’ 2011 Outstanding Treasurer of the Year Award. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Youngstown State University and is a Certified Administrator of School Finance and Operations.

Cheryl Malik is currently the CFO at Barnesville Exempted Village School District. Cheryl has 8 years of experience with the State of Ohio Auditor's Office as a staff auditor and 12 years of experience as a School District CFO. In her 12 years of experience as a School District CFO, Cheryl has worked at 3 different Traditional School Districts and 1 Career Center.
