Project Manager, Plug Smart

As Plug Smart's Controls Business Unit Leader, Mr. Dixon is an expert in energy efficiency and facility improvement project development and project management. Mr. Dixon has developed and completed projects across the Midwest and southern United States. He has experience in HVAC systems, building automation systems, lighting systems, renewable generation systems, combined heat and power systems, and rebates/grant administration.

Mr. Dixon has helped grow Plug Smart from an early-stage, pre-revenue company to over $25 million in annual sales. Plug Smart has been recognized by INC 500 as one of the fastest growing privately held companies for three consecutive years.  Mr. Dixon is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and is a Building Performance Institute (BPI) certified energy auditor. Mr. Dixon holds his B.A. in Political Science from The Ohio State University.

Matt McMillen

Senior Building Systems Specialist, Plug Smart

Mr. McMillen is Plug Smart’s Senior Controls Engineering Specialist.  Mr. McMillen has over 30 years of experience with programming and commissioning controls systems throughout the country. Mr. McMillen has extensive experience designing automated control systems for commercial HVAC, Industrial controls, Fire and Life Safety, and access control systems. He has designed, programmed, and supervised the installation of energy conservation projects for various schools and other public facilities including courthouses and convention centers.  

Mr. McMillen’s energy services expertise includes controls, renewable energy, lighting systems/controls, building automation systems, air/water cooled heat pumps, cogeneration systems, boiler systems, chilled water systems, energy auditing, energy policy, HVAC, rebate administration, air quality and ventilation, heat recovery concepts, and retro-commissioning.
